Beer Brewing in five easy steps.
Here is a quick overview of how easy it is to use a beer kit
to brew 40+ pints. Although each kit's instuctions should be read to make sure
there are no variation, generally all kits follow these basic steps;-
STEP ONE
Make up concentrate as per the kit's
instructions and pour it into a steralised plastic bucket (Brew Bin). Rinse out
the kit can with hot water to make sure all the contents are used.
STEP TWO
Add the required sugar to the Brew Bin and stir
to disolve.
STEP THREE
Top up with cold water by the required amount.
STEP FOUR
Sprinkle on the brewing yeast provided and
leave in a warm place to ferment. This usually takes five to ten days.
STEP FIVE
When fermentation is complete, syphon into
pressurised bottle, adding a level teaspoon of sugar per bottle. Seal with
crown caps. Alternatively transfer into a pressure barrel, adding 2oz of sugar.
THE FINISHED PRODUCT
Your beer is ready for drinking when clear but
is best left to mature for at least three weeks. The addition of beer finings
when bottling and barreling will speed up the clearing process.
